05.12.2008 | International Patch #1 available!
A Vampyre Story has received wide recognition by critics and gamers alike. In Germany, the country that - technically, by 3 days - released the game first, we received more than a dozen awards, with ratings up to 90% and an average score in the mid 80s.
But we still want to be better. Thus, we prepared a patch that fixes important issues (-> stadium, perfume) as well as some more subtle things.
You can find the patch here.

17.11.2008 | Midnight surprise: the demo is here!
Today marks the first release of "A Vampyre Story" in it's first territory. To mark the occassion, we are proud to release the official demo, to allow everyone to get a sneak peek of the game.
In the demo, Mona and Froderick are in trouble: They are on the Vlad's Landing Graveyard and Picknick Grounds, looking for Mona's grave, in order to retreive some grave dirt that Mona needs to put in her coffin for travelling.
This short slice of the game gives a short glimpse of how versatile and multi-faceted the puzzles can be - as well as presenting the athmospheric art and music and humor, of course!
The demo features English and German language. The game will be released on the 24th in the UK and soon in the US and on any decent download retail service, like GameTap, metaboli and GamersGate.
You can download the demo from worthplaying.com: http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=57552
You can also click on the German flag in the tree to get to a list of Mirrors....

05.09.2008 | The Bat-Feature!
Today we have published two brand new screenshots as well as clips, in which opera starlet Mona De Lafitte shows off her ability to transform into a bat.
Whilst traditionally adventure fans were only able to explore the locations horizontally, in "A Vampyre Story" players also need to be aware of whats above and below them to succeed. And since our heroine happens to be a vampyre, she can simply transform into a bat and fly up into the sky, for example to visit the raven doing his laundry up on a tower.
Therefore all you adventure gamers will get a novel gameplay, having to take all four directions into account if you want to be successful in your quest of escaping Castle Warg.
The new pictures can be found in the screenshot-section, whilst the clips are in the download-section.

01.11.2007 | The Halloween Blog!
Hello everybody!
I’ve managed to escape from my cell long enough to provide you with another update to the official blog for A Vampyre Story. I’d better type fast before Bill Tiller discovers I’m gone – he’s made it clear that I’m not allowed to see the light of day until all of the in-game dialogue has been completed (the good news is that the first pass is finished – now all I have to worry about are those last minute changes that Bill keeps making to the game, which includes several new puzzles). Personally, I think things might be getting a bit complicated, but when I do Bill just stares as me and says, “if I make it too easy, the fans won’t be getting the game they want.” So there you have it fans, you’ve managed to convince Bill you’re not interested in taking the easy way out…you’d better be careful what you wish for…
